This Delft blue decorative house is a miniature canal house with a stepped gable, which was often built in the Netherlands, especially in the 16th century. These canal-side houses are usually tall, narrow and deep because the tax was levied based on the width of the façade. Sometimes you can still see a special beam sticking out on the façade that was used to lift merchandise so that the goods were protected against flooding. The Amsterdam canal belt is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has become an iconic image for the Netherlands. This cute Delft blue canal house is a decorative statue for the home.

The series of houses consists of different types of canal houses, each with a characteristic façade. When you put them all side by side, you create your own picturesque canal belt.
